Qualifications
The I GOT THIS Championship provides athletes with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to compete alongside their peers in a high-quality championship environment. The event is open to qualified athletes from around the world. Applicants should be a verified Special Olympics athlete (level 3/4/5) or an athlete qualifying in accordance with USAGA (www.usaga.org) Sport Class G15, Intellectual Disability. Players will be placed into Pending Registration upon sign up. Once approved, players will be placed into the active field and will receive confirmation via email. If the athlete is not eligible based upon the above criteria, they can submit a request with support to the I GOT THIS Championship Event committee, who will determine eligibility.
Event Details
- Open to qualified athletes from around the world
- Registration Open from July 1, 2026 through March 2, 2027
- Space is limited to 51 players, so early registration is strongly encouraged.
- Entry Fee: $175 –
- Two tournament rounds of golf, lunch and dinner for player and caddie on Saturday and Sunday,
- Includes Friday Social (for athletes, their family, guests and caddies),
- Player swag bag, and caddie gift.
- Guests wishing to attend the Saturday Dinner or Sunday Awards Dinner may purchase guest tickets below. Guest tickets available for purchase through March 12, 2027.
- Carts may be available for spectators. Please check in daily at the pro shop for information on rates and availability. Spectator carts are not guaranteed.
- Official start times for events will be made available in January 2027. Tee times will be available the week of the event.
- Final event schedule will be made available when registration closes.
Competition
- Format: Two rounds of 18-hole independent tournament play.
- Caddies: Required for all participants. Each player-caddie team will receive a cart. Caddies are responsible for ensuring their group maintains the appropriate pace of play.
- Men's and Women's Divisions, Par 72. Yardages align with the 2026 U.S. Adaptive Open.
- Men - Black Tees - 6323 Yards
- Men w/Down syndrome - Blue Tees - 5838 Yards
- Women - Pink Tees - 4938 Yards
- Women w/Down syndrome - Purple Tees - 4418 Yards
- Only caddies are permitted to coach or advise their players during the competitive rounds, unless otherwise approved by the rules committee.
- Play will follow USGA governing rules. All caddies will be required to attend a rules/scoring meeting.
- Championship is both a WR4GD and a USAGA Rankings Event.
